Pastor Jianhua Ma was born and raised in Qinghai, China. She came to Canada as a visiting scholar in 2001 and accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior that same year. In 2005, the family immigrated to Canada and was settled in Guelph; and the same year she was baptized together with her son at Calvary Baptist Church, Guelph. There was where she grew spiritually by serving as worship, life group and prayer meeting leaders, and in family care and campus student ministries. In 2013, she was responded to God’s calling and the following year she had enrolled in the Chinese Evangelical Theological Seminary to better equip herself. In 2021, she has achieved a Master Degree in Biblical Studies (Pastoral Studies). She has been a pastor of the Guelph Christian Community Church from 2021-2022. Pastor Ma enjoys reading, playing table tennis, spending time with her family, and cooking.
