In Canada, 52% people say they have, or a family member has needed blood or blood product at some point in their lives. There is a constant demand for blood and blood product. When you donate blood, you are helping others and giving back to your community.
About one in seven people entering a hospital need blood. One donation can save up to three lives. Healthy adults at least 17 years old and at least 110 lbs may donate about a pint of blood.

In sub-Saharan Africa, many children cannot survive beyond the age of five, and more than one million school children have no shoes to wear. For some, the walk to school alone takes an average of 60 to 90 minutes every day. ‘Sand fleas’ also known as ‘jiggers’ are a disease common to children without shoes, and for some can even be fatal. These sand fleas consume their feet and prevent them from reaching their dreams.
RHCCC calls our members to live out the act of mercy and compassion through caring for the poor. We ask members to donate a pair of old shoes to those who are in great need. Materials will be shipped to Africa. In addition, the shipping containers used to transport the shoes and material supplies are also turned into classrooms, clinics, churches, and community centres.
Collection period: July 19 to September 28 (Updated)
Collection location: RHCCC Lobby
Goal: To raise 25,000 pairs of shoes and $3 per pair for shipping costs, filling a 40-ft container to be sent to Kitale, Kenya in September 2025. The container will also be converted into a local medical centre or classroom!
SHOES ACCEPTED
Sneakers, fabric Shoes, closed toe shoes, canvas shoes, flats, and low heels. Used shoes of usable quality, regardless of size or age, for both men and women (preferably flat shoes).
Please ensure that they are in good condition and offer full coverage.
SHOES NOT ACCEPTED
Slippers, high heels, platform shoes, long boots, snow boots, sandals, crocs, plastic shoes, sports sandals, short rain boots, roller blades.
Shoes with large holes, excessive wear, significant damage, detached soles, oxidized uppers, or cracked soles will not be accepted.
HOW TO PACKAGE YOUR SHOES
Bundle shoes together with shoelaces to keep pairs intact.
As you pack the shoes for donation, please refrain from using excessive packaging such as plastic bags, tape, plastic wrap, or rubber bands. This helps us save time, effort, and funds, and supports environmental sustainability.

城北華基呼籲弟兄姊妹藉著關懷貧窮來活出仁慈和憐憫，我們鼓勵大家捐贈一雙舊鞋給有需要的人，這些舊鞋將運送往非洲。此外，用以運送舊鞋及物資的貨櫃亦會改裝成為課室、診所、教堂和社區中心。

球鞋、布鞋、頭包鞋、帆布鞋、平底鞋和低跟鞋。歡迎捐贈男女皆可穿的可用二手鞋，不限尺寸與年份，平底鞋為佳

拖鞋、高跟鞋、厚底鞋、長靴、雪靴、涼鞋、Crocs、塑膠鞋、運動涼鞋、短雨靴、溜冰鞋
有大破洞、過度磨損、嚴重損壞、鞋底脫落、鞋面氧化或鞋底裂開的鞋子亦不接受。
鞋子如何包裝
請用鞋帶將鞋子綁成一雙，以保持配對完整。
打包捐贈鞋時，請避免使用過多包裝材料，如塑膠袋、膠帶、保鮮膜或橡皮筋。這將幫助我們節省時間、人力與成本，也有助環保。
「祝福滿籃」是城北華基RHCCC為慶祝成立40週年，在全教會推動的祝福社區事工之一。此事工的目標是為有需要的家庭預備 400份祝福禮品包。受惠家庭包括本會會友、新移民（例如來自敘利亞,烏克蘭及阿富汗的家庭）、以及 Adam House 事工和 LMJ（Love, Mercy & Justice）事工所關懷的家庭。每個祝福禮品包將包括一張超市禮品卡及日常家居用。
作為全教會的事工，我們誠邀國語、粵語及英語會眾一同參與。其中最需要的支持方式就是金錢奉獻。我們將鼓勵各小組及團契收集奉獻，並會在教會大堂設立事工桌，以方便弟兄姊妹直接捐獻。當我們數算過去40年上帝所賜下的豐富恩典之時，也讓我們成為祝福的管道，去祝福那些有需要的人。
