My two daughters and I came to RHCCC in 2010. A few years prior, my husband passed away unexpectedly. I was devastated with unspeakable grief, not understanding God’s will. My daughters also experienced deep sorrow.
Around that time, my daughters started joining some friends in Doxa (youth worship) at RHCCC. Gradually, their spiritual life grew and got renewed. I also joined worship service on Sundays. I thank God that I grew spiritually over the years from attending a bible study group, Sunday School, various bible seminars and conferences at RHCCC. I experienced God’s abundant love, His healing power, and living hope. I learned about the Ruth Sisters (single mothers) Fellowship from the church bulletin. I remembered about my first visit to the fellowship as I was deeply moved by the singing of hymns and sharing of testimonies. I felt that the sisters-in-Christ were like the great clouds of witnesses mentioned in Hebrews 12:1. I saw some light at the end of the tunnel as the sisters encouraged me with the hope of Christ for my future. I experienced the deep love of Jesus through the empathetic care and sincere encouragement from the sisters as we were in the same boat. Together we grew in our faith through trials and tribulations with God’s healing. We experienced God’s comfort, blessings, love, protection and provision. We could truly testify how God looks after orphans and widows in distress.
“You turned my wailing into dancing; You removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy.” (Psalm 30:11) May God use us to comfort and bless others through the Ruth ministry. I will continue to trust God and submit myself to His purpose and guidance. May glory and praise be to our Heavenly Abba Father.
