I arrived in Canada as an immigrant in 1987 and joined RHCCC the following year. After we got married in 1989, my wife and I started serving the church. Over the past 32 years, our family has been abundantly blessed. Looking ahead to the next 35 years, I’m confident that we will continue to mature spiritually, just as the church will mature under a shared vision.
I remember the day I arrived at RHCCC with very little idea what I could do, but our pastors taught and encouraged me. I was able to count on the support of my church family. There were plenty of obstacles and challenges, but we overcame them. Together we learned the lessons of humility and faith. We tried our hand in multiple ministries, including childcare, children and adult Sunday School, and leadership roles in our fellowships. In each of these areas, our pastors trusted us, and we discovered the amazing blessing of teamwork.
