Growing up in church, I’ve always enjoyed worship. I love serving on a worship team with my instrument – the cello. Soon after finishing high school, I took a break from serving. It was during this time that God planted a desire in my heart to be a youth mentor.
This passion stayed with me as I was pursuing my undergraduate and nursing degrees. In 2016, when I started working, the hectic schedule of a nurse didn’t allow me to take on mentorship. Now four years later, I’m in the final year of my master’s program, and God has opened the door! I began mentoring earlier this year. What a joyful experience it has been!
During the early years in my career, I was discouraged when I couldn’t maintain my time with God. Surprisingly, He encouraged me through my patients, some of whom were Christians. They said, “You’re expressing God’s love when you care for your patients. You are serving Him.”
God meets me where I am by inviting me to partner with Him. He has made everything beautiful in its time.
