“And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever.”
We’re involved in all sorts of partnerships – at work, in business, in marriage, and perhaps in playing sports. Unfortunately, not all of them last; some even break down.
Yet, the Partner – Helper – that Jesus promised will never leave His followers. Most of us know this scripture as a reference to the Holy Spirit. But somehow, in the busyness and upheaval of the workweek, we often forget this most important of partners! We turn to family and friends, associates and teammates, directors and shareholders, and even our Partners @ Work growth groups. We pray to God for help. But we haven’t learned to partner with the Spirit, and we miss out on Jesus’ promise of strength and victory.
Dear friends, there is no limit on the activity of the Holy Spirit. His influence is not confined to the church during service or cell group time. He operates 24/7. He is the Spirit of truth. He is our Ultimate Partner @ Work! He wants us to be victorious at work as followers of the Master.
For the next several weeks, we invite you to reflect on the action of the Spirit in your marketplace and deepen your partnership with Him. You’ve learned about Him. You’ve heard of Him. It’s time to ask for more of His presence in your work life. By the grace of Jesus, let us ask the Holy Spirit to reveal Himself to each of us as we search for assurance and perseverance.
