Update: VCCC Payer meeting will take place at RHCCC 57D on every 4th Saturday of the month at 10am. The next one will be March 22, 2014.
Vaughan has approximately fifteen thousand Chinese and many of them are unchurched people, but there is no Chinese church there. God gives us a vision to plant a church there. This is a challenge and an opportunity. The following is an update of this project:
Our first co-worker meeting was held in Vaughan in the evening of January 31 at 7:30 p.m. There was a big snow-storm in the area where we were going to meet. The photo shows the humble beginning of our church: a hand-written sign guiding co-workers to the meeting place amidst the eye-blinding snow. Likewise, may our church be a sign showing people the way to the Kingdom of Light amidst the darkness.
Praise God, sixteen brothers and sisters showed up for the meeting. I was deeply moved by these faithful, God-loving brothers and sisters who have fervent hearts for extending God’s kingdom in Vaughan. We all knelt and bowed to God for a solemn mission send-off ceremony led by Pastor Linda.
April 10, Vaughan Vision Night meeting was held at RHCCC. Praise the Lord, many brothers and sisters wanted to serve the Lord in Vaughan by participating in VCCC church, being coworkers, being prayer warriors, and offering their homes for Bible study groups.
By God’s grace, we had our first service in Vaughan on Sunday, Oct 13, 2013. Church leaders, brothers and sisters and many special guests all gathered together to celebrate our Grand Opening Day.
